Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Amundi, Brown Advisory, Others

Amundi
, one of the world’s largest investment houses, is strengthening its equity set-up with the appointment of Barry Glavin as head of equity investment platform.

In addition, Vafa Ahmadi, head of thematic equities for CPR Asset Management, will be expanding his role to oversee global thematic equity for Amundi, the firm said in a statement.

Before joining Amundi, Glavin (pictured) had been the chief investment officer of State Street Global Advisors’ fundamental value equities team since 2013. He was previously head of research, fundamental equities. Glavin joined State Street Global Advisors in 2006 from HSBC Asset Management where he was a portfolio manager, then an equity analyst between 2000 and 2006. He began his career in finance as an exchange-traded derivatives broker. Glavin is a graduate in politics and philosophy from University College Dublin, and is a CFA charterholder.

A subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole group and listed on the stock exchange, Amundi currently manages more than €2 trillion ($2.149 trillion) of assets.

Brown Advisory
, based in Derby, in the UK Midlands, has appointed Hayley Burton (pictured below) as managing director.

Burton, who was previously MD of Kingswood Group and divisional manager at Santander Wealth Management, has worked in the financial sector for more than two decades.

Rhodes Wealth Management holds £500 million ($628.6 million) of funds under its management.
